News on Caerphilly Interchange

Diolch i chi unwaith eto am gymryd rhan ac am eich ymatebion i'n map gwres a'n holiadur. Yn dilyn cwblhau Cam 1, hoffem gyhoeddi lansiad y cam nesaf yn ein proses o ymgysylltu â’r gymuned.

Rydym wedi bod yn datblygu ein cynigion yn fanylach ac yn awr yn barod i rannu ein syniadau gyda chi yng Ngham 2.

Mae 8 'Teilsen' newydd i chi eu harchwilio. Gallwch eu gweld drwy sgrolio i lawr y dudalen hafan nes cyrraedd “Cam 2 : Rhannu ein Syniadau". Gallwch hefyd gael mynediad iddynt drwy’r botwm “Dweud eich Dweud” ym mar dewislen y wefan hon.

Mae'r Deilsen gyntaf yn cynnwys diweddariad ar ganlyniadau Cam 1, a chrynodeb o'r hyn roeddem wedi’i ddysgu o'ch ymatebion i'n holiadur. Mae hyn er gwybodaeth yn unig, ac nid oes unrhyw gwestiynau na sylwadau i'w hateb.

Gellir gweld y 7 Teilsen sy'n weddill mewn unrhyw drefn, ond os oes gennych amser, rydym yn argymell eu hadolygu mewn trefn gan y gallai hyn eich helpu i ddeall y cynigion yn gliriach.

Mae uwchraddio'r gyfnewidfa yn un rhan o Gynllun Creu Lleoedd Caerffili 2035, ac yn allweddol i ddatgloi buddion prosiectau eraill, yn ogystal â gwaith uwchraddio Trafnidiaeth Cymru ar Linellau Craidd y Cymoedd, ac i wireddu'r posibilrwydd o welliannau i'r Castell. Cyllid

Mae cais i’r Gronfa Ffyniant Bro (LUF) wedi cael ei gyflwyno i Lywodraeth y Deyrnas Unedig, er mwyn sicrhau cyllid i gyflawni prosiect y Gyfnewidfa. Mae'r cyllid y gwneir cais amdano yn rhan o ddyraniad sydd ar gael yn benodol ar gyfer prosiectau trafnidiaeth.

Teithio Llesol

Mae'r strategaeth teithio llesol ar gyfer y dref gyfan yn ffocws i astudiaeth gyfochrog a bydd yn destun proses ymgynghori ar wahân. Rydym wedi ceisio darparu lle ar gyfer cysylltiadau teithio llesol i, a thrwy safle’r gyfnewidfa, mewn ffordd sy’n gallu addasu i ddatblygiadau yn y dyfodol.

Parcio a Theithio

Nid yw’r safle Parcio a Theithio o fewn ffiniau’r gwaith i uwchraddio'r gyfnewidfa. Yn dilyn canlyniadau Cam 1, rydym wedi sicrhau bod y ffordd ddynesu ddwyreiniol o'r maes parcio ac o Barc Busnes Caerffili wedi bod yn ystyriaeth allweddol yn ein cynigion.

Thank you once again for your participation and responses to our heatmap and questionnaire. Following the completion of Step 1, we would like to announce the launch of the next step in our community engagement.

We have been developing our proposals in more detail and are now ready to share our ideas with you in Step 2.

There are 8 new ‘Tiles’ for you to explore which can be accessed by scrolling down the homepage until you come to “Step 2: Sharing our Ideas." You can also access them from the “Have Your Say” button in the menu bar of this website.

The first Tile contains an update on the Step 1 outcomes, and a summary of what we learnt from your responses to our questionnaire. This is for information only, and there are no questions or comments to answer.

The remaining 7 Tiles can be viewed in any order, but if you have time, we recommend reviewing them in sequence as this may help you understand the proposals more clearly. Each Tile contains up to 3 pages so look out for the ‘Next’ and ‘Back’ buttons to browse all the content.

On the last page of each you will find a short questionnaire to answer on what we have shared, and we look forward to getting your continued feedback on our ideas and proposals.

Project Context

The upgrade to the interchange is one part of the Caerphilly 2035 Placemaking Plan, and key to unlocking the benefits of other projects, as well as TfW’s Core Valley Lines transport upgrade works, and to realise the potential of improvements to the Castle. Funding

A Levelling Up Fund (LUF) bid has been submitted to UK Government to secure funding to deliver the Interchange project. The funding being applied for is part of an allocation being specifically made available for transport projects.

Active Travel

The town wide active travel strategy is the focus of a parallel study and will be subject to a separate consultation process. We have sought to provide space for active travel links to, and through the interchange site in a way which can adapt to future developments.

Park and Ride

The Park & Ride car park site is not within the scope of the interchange upgrade. Following the outcomes of Step 1, we have ensured that the eastern approach from both the car park and Caerphilly Business Park has been a key consideration in our proposals.
